What this can help with
- Leaking when you sneeze, cough, jump, or run
- Sudden urgency or frequency
- Pelvic pressure or heaviness
- Pain with sex
- Tampon insertion pain
- Pelvic, vulvar, or coccyx pain
- Postpartum symptoms that have not resolved
- Bowel dysfunction or discomfort
Pelvic care should be specific, consent-led, and clear.
Pelvic floor physical therapy looks at the muscles, fascia, nerves, joints, breath, and movement patterns that can drive leaking, pain, urgency, pressure, and sexual dysfunction. Internal assessment can be useful, but it is never forced and never required to begin care.
Many people arrive at Boon dealing with pelvic pain, urinary leakage, bowel symptoms, pelvic heaviness, or sexual pain that has already started changing daily life. The symptoms are real, but the deeper frustration is usually this: nobody has taken enough time to explain why it is happening or what to do next.
The goal is more control, less guarding, and a clearer understanding of your body. That can mean less pain, fewer bathroom disruptions, more comfort with intimacy, and a steadier return to exercise, work, and daily life.
Questions patients ask
Will I need an internal exam?
Not unless it is clinically appropriate and you consent. Suubi explains what she is doing, why it may help, and how to stop at any time.
Is leaking after birth normal?
It is common, but that does not mean it should be ignored. Pelvic floor therapy can help identify the cause and retrain the system.
Can pelvic floor care help if I am years postpartum?
Yes. It is not too late to address leaking, pressure, pain, diastasis, or return-to-exercise problems.
